Dance Festival

We were very lucky to have eight Dene Magna students represent the school at the Forest Dance Community Show this year. They spent months working hard to produce their dance and through many ups and downs, with hard work and dedication, they produced a fantastic routine. On the day of the show, they spent the afternoon at the Five Acres Theatre, running through their performance and working with other schools to produce a finale at the end of the show. In the evening, a packed theatre audience were very fortunate to see some incredible performances from all sorts of ages and abilities of students. The Dene Magna students were mid-way through the programme and really did make us very proud with their performance, as through all of their hard work and commitment, they produced the best dance that they had done to date, to the very appropriate song ‘We Don’t Need No Education!’

Drybrook Dance FestivalThe students were also very fortunate to be asked to perform at the Drybrook Dance Festival. In the morning, they performed in front of the pupils from Drybrook School and then in the afternoon, they performed in front of 150 parents from the school. The round of applause they received reflected how successful their dance was.
