School weather update

With the much anticipated arrival of 'The Beast from the East' we have been watching the forecast with interest.  You may have seen an Amber warning for the area and the forecast is for light snow over the course of tomorrow. It would seem that the heavy snow is due to fall tomorrow night.

The safety of all of our school community is paramount in any decisions we take and as the forecast is for light snow during the day, we will be open as usual tomorrow. Can I ask that you check that you have given us your most recent contact details should we need to act during the later stages of the school day (texts, email etc...). If you do need to update these then please contact reception and leave a message with your new contact details. Should the weather change during the day we have a protocol with the bus companies that they pick the students up and we would sign out any students who walk home. Parents will naturally be contacted if this protocol needs to be acted upon.
We will assess the situation tomorrow to be able to make a more informed decision about Friday as it may be that me emailing about this means that we will only get two flakes of snow and miss 'The Beast' altogether.
Please check the school website/Facebook and Gloucestershire closure line regularly for more updates.
