An update from Mr Brady...

Morning everyone!
Thanks for your continued support during the very early days of remote learning. Feedback has been great but one theme has been the impact of sitting at a screen for two hours.
From today, lessons will start at their usual times but will be 50 minutes each. This gives a 10 minute break between lessons 1 and 2 and again between 4 and 5. Hopefully this will remove the pressure of switching between lessons and will also allow everyone to experience a little of the sun that seems to have arrived just as we are indoors!

It does make break and lunch longer, which will allow a bit more of a chance to catch up with friends and family as well as your daughters/sons making you a cup of tea!

We are working on a couple of tech issues that have cropped up and the staff have an online meeting this evening to share best practice so that we can help you and the students. I must thank the staff for continuing to set work as like you, many are trying to juggle caring for their own families. Thanks also to the staff who are in school each day to support our childcare provision.

I will keep up with the messages (although not everyday) and remember, the most important thing is to follow the government advice so that we can all look back on this in the future and who knows, we may all be better people for it!

Stay safe and stay positive.

Steve Brady
