Active DADs

Active DADs is a project, set up by Active Connections, that aims to assist fathers by creating a support network through sport and play. The project funded by Comic Relief looks to help fathers’ access informal support and guidance on formal provision. The network will contain a range of different sessions, activities and events to help engage fathers.  Within this project there are various types of sessions.

Active Connections are in the process of developing a sport explorer session which will be specifically for dads with children with disabilities. It will start the week of the 3rd February at Gloucester Academy Sports Hall from 5.00 - 6.00 and will cost £1.00 each week. The session will be multi-sport and their coaches want the session to be relaxed and fun where the families can help decide what activities will be delivered at each session. We have a range of sports from football, cricket, parachute games,  kinball, volleyball and so much more.

If this is something that you are interested in please contact Emma Harris to book a place for the first Inclusive Sport Explorer session at emmaharris@activeconnections.org or 07894440935.
