3-For-All Disability Sports Day

3-For-All Disability Sports Day

Following the 3-For-All Disability Sports Day during the Summer break, it was so nice to receive such an outstanding message from the organisers.  Well done everyone supported the event...

To Whom it May Concern

Your students really were a credit to the school at the 3-For-All sports event on the 22nd August. Also attached are a few photos.

Over the summer Dene Magna School, in partnership with Special Olympics Gloucestershire, hosted a sports day for individuals with physical and learning disabilities. Special Olympics Gloucestershire is a project run by Active Gloucestershire to increase opportunities for people with a disability to take part in sport across the county.

Across the day participants came to the school to try out a range of different sports, including rugby, boccia, bowls, New Age Kurling and powerchair football. The schools superb volunteers offered support to coaches throughout the day. Jenny Rutter, Inclusion Officer at Active Gloucestershire said:

“Volunteers from Dene Magna School were truly exceptional at the event. They were enthusiastic and encouraging with the participants and deserve high praise indeed. Our thanks go to Mia Preest, Gemma Barton, Elouise Wynn, Robbie Winman and Zac Littlefair. We hope to see you all at future events.”

Kind regards,
