We are a high achieving department that regularly achieves between 75 and 83% A* to C at GCSE, making us one of the top departments in the country for Contextual Value Added. We have been judged “outstanding” by OFSTED and aim to deliver the English Curriculum in new and exciting ways. Assessment for Learning has a high profile as does the use of ICT; every English room has an Interactive whiteboard and there is a computer suite spread across two of our rooms.
